Journi Jo is 2!

Today is Journi's second birthday. I have been impatiently waiting to post these photos because I am in LOVE with them. Mostly because Journi is my niece. I am so fortunate that I get to capture my nieces and nephew growing up. In the process, I get to see my improvement in photography over the years.

I wanted to share these photos because we took all of these in approximately 15 minutes. People have been asking how I got her to pose, but this is just her being her cute self. She actually refused to pose during these. I have learned that the best photos of children come from them playing or interacting with mom and dad. The best photos are candids rather than posed. That is why it is important to relax during your session. If everyone relaxes and has fun, I will be able to capture the memories you want to remember forever.
